North Harbour Takes Out Top Gong

“This is a tremendous result not only for North Harbour but for the region”

UDIA Judges said North Harbour showed excellence in number of categories, including planning, community, sustainability, urban design and engineering and had distinguishing features such as the Parkland and Heritage Park which stood out for them.

Project Director Peter Lightbody said: “We are incredibly proud and happy to have won this award. The North Harbour team is working very hard to create the best residential community possible and to achieve recognition at this level is an incredible achievement for all concerned.

“We were commended by the judges for our provisions for the community including our amenities and high-quality landscaping, as well as our well-presented Display Village which is the largest on the northside.

We’d like to thank North Harbour community and our community partners. Without the support of our residents and everyone who works in and around North Harbour, none of what we’ve achieved would be possible.”

“We’ve also been named as a finalist in the national UDIA awards and to even be in that space is an incredible achievement considering we welcomed our first residents only four years ago.”
In a statement, the UDIA said: “The quality of submissions for the 2018 Awards for Excellence was outstanding. The Institute is exceptionally proud of all winners and congratulates North Harbour on being named as one of the best in Queensland’s development industry.”
