Weirs and locks perform an important role in controlling the release of nutrients from built-up areas into sensitive natural river systems. The complex mechanical lock structures often associated with weirs equalize water levels and allow navigable access for vessels.
Hall Contracting is experienced at constructing both of these structures, having successfully completed projects at Pelican Waters, Brightwater and Kawana Waters on Australia’s Sunshine Coast to control water levels in the on-site lakes and canals. These contracts required our team to carefully manage site conditions and monitor weather conditions to ensure the projects could be delivered on schedule.
