Environmentally sensitive widening and deepening of Half Moon Creek
was carried out with commendation from the Department of Environment
& Heritage, Local Council and residents. This project involved
clearing of mangroves by amphibious excavator followed up by bucket
wheel cutter suction dredge. A complex system of tailwater control
was set up to ensure minimum effect on the sensitive local environment.

Hall Contracting returned to the site in 2003 to again undertake
the dredging of Half Moon Creek, this time for the new Bluewater
Development.
