East HP Gas Pipeline Brunei
Location: Lumut, Brunei
Dredge: Mabuiag 16"
Date: April 2002 - August 2002
Client: Armada Jaya Sdn Bhd
Hall Contracting was engaged to undertake the dredging of a 3km
long gas pipeline trench for Shell Brunei from their offshore gas
field to the shore connection. The material dredged was predominately
sand but stiff clay was encountered near the shore connection.

Dipper dredge removing harder material.
The fitting of a bucket wheel to the dredge was undertaken during
the project to replace the rose cutter as a means to tackle the
stiff clay. |

A large dipper dredge was also commissioned to remove the harder
material close to shore. Dredge position was monitored constantly
using the onboard GPS system due to the existing gas pipelines running
parallel with the new trench.
