Hall Contracting has been engaged to carry out dredging of the tailings
ponds at FMG’s port facility in Port Hedland, West Australia.
The project involves dredging over 2.5 million m3 of tailings a distance
of 2.4km, in order to prepare for the expansion of the iron ore
facility.
Hall has 2 dredges working round the clock to clear the area in
preparation for the capital dredging to be undertaken in late 2008.
