Hall Contracting undertook the dredging of approximately 186,000
m3 of fine waste material from the rejects return water dam located
at Kestrel Coal Mine. Dredged material was deposited into cells
adjacent to the dam and allowed to settle.

Dredging operations incurred some minor disruptions due to an occasional
shortage of water in the dam which was fed from the underground
mining operations.
