Navua River Fiji Dredging
Location: Fiji
Dredge: Scorpio 30"
Date: July 2006 - October 2006
Client: Fiji Govt.
Hall was commissioned by the Fijian Government to carry
out dredging of the Navua River Mouth near Suva in Fiji. This project
involves the dredging of 500,000 m³ of material.
Fast flowing river currents, sand infill and large clumps of bamboo
would pose significant problems for small cutter suction dredges.
But these proved an easy challenge for Halls large 30" cutter
suction dredge 'Scorpio'.
