Hall was commissioned by the Fijian Government to carry out dredging of the Navua River Mouth near Suva in Fiji. This project involves the dredging of 500,000 m³ of material, through 2km of 900mm pipeline.
Fast fl owing river currents, sand infi ll and large clumps of bamboo would pose signifi cant problems for small cutter suction dredges. But these proved an easy challenge for Halls 30” cutter suction dredge
‘Scorpio’. The project was completed in just 7 weeks.
