
Lae Wharf dredging:
Location: Lae , Papua New Guinea

This project involved the dredging of the overseas wharf berth pocket
to a depth of 10.5m. The challenge of safely working around existing
wharf piles was achieved by using Hall’s specialist survey
team and on-board GPS control equipment.
'Scorpio' at Lae Wharf.
Material dredged was predominantly sand and gravel infill from the
Markham River, however man made obstructions such as car bodies
and shipping containers were also regularly encountered.
