Hall Contracting was contracted to international company Jan de Nul as part of the $1.3 billion dollar New Parrallel Runway Project. The project required the installation of 4km of 1000mm diameter steel pipeline through the Brisbane International Airport and also a Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The scope also included the construction of a 4km, 11m wide access road to Main Roads specification which wound its way around operational runways including the main runway. The scope included the installation of 270 m of pipe underneath a runway and the construction of a 6m high 40m long pipe bridge over an existing outfall structure. The project required design and construct scopes and in-house steel fabrication to provide innovative solutions which saved the project time and money.
In successfully completing this project, our team demonstrated their ability to work in a highly regulated and restricted environment due to the operations
of the international airport.
