Hall kicked off early works for the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade (B2N) project at the end of 2021.
The project includes the realignment of Steve Irwin Way to accommodate the B2N rail realignment, construction of a new park ‘n’ ride carpark at Landsborough Station, intersection upgrades to existing local streets, and upgrades to the Nambour Station carpark.
The overarching B2N project is expected to improve the freight and passenger connection between Brisbane and Cairns, providing additional track capacity and reliability and creating travel time savings and increased passenger and freight services to the growing Sunshine Coast region.
