Technology:
For many years Hall Contracting has been using GPS survey and control
for its dredging fleet. This allows the operator to confidently
dredge to tight tolerances around wharves and other structures.
It also provides security to the client that the work is being carried
out to design specifications.
This technology has now been transferred to Hall's civil operations,
allowing Hall to carry out all facets
of civil construction with exceptional accuracy, without the aid
of traditional surveying. |

Electronic copies of design drawings are submitted by the engineer
to Hall's head office where it is then transferred to computers
on board particular machines. Operators on excavators, dozers
and graders are then guided by on-board computers as they progress.
