Hall Contracting was awarded the contract by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and was a perfect opportunity for Jacob to use his experience in undertaking a mix of dredging, seawall and civil works.
Although Jacob holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and a Bachelor of Business (Management), he has held a range of jobs from construction and commercial diver, site engineer, project manager and project engineer in Australia and in the United Arab Emirates. He also holds a number of diving and vessel licences and certificates.
Jacob has extensive experience in particular with coastal protection projects involving rectification of revetment walls, dredging and beach replenishment works, design and construction of geofabric / Elcorock bags. There is no doubting his passion and natural ability for coastal works given his love of diving and working along coastlines combined with the knowledge and understanding passed down from his father, who himself is an engineer and has been a major contributor to the design and development of geotextiles and their use in erosion protection.
Hall Contracting is well placed to take on a broad range of coastal projects due to expertise and capabilities in dredging, civil and marine works. If you would like to know more about our capabilities give the office a call.
