Constructing a new bridge, lock and weir in the Pelican Waters development.

Spitfire Banks Drive Bridge, Lock and Weir

#About this project

As part of its long-standing relationship with Pelican Waters, Hall constructed a lock, weir and four-span pedestrian bridge linking Spitfire Banks Drive and Michael Street.

The team undertook major excavation works for the project and installed 93 square piles, over 720m3 of concrete and 150 tonnes of reinforcing steel.

Pelican Waters canal is a semi-tidal canal system, and the lock and weir enables watercraft to safely access Pumicestone Passage at all times.
