Hall Contracting was awarded this project by Queensland Transport and Main Roads Department in December 2015. The project involves the design and construction of containment bunds adjacent to the Bowen Boat Harbour. The scope of works included dredging of 35,000 cubic metres of material from the boat harbour entrance channel.
Delivery also included maintenance dredging of 6,600m3 from five shoaled areas within the boat harbor, capital dredging works to straighten widen deepen the entrance channel and the disposal of spoil within the nominated land based disposal areas.
