Gladstone Marina Maintenance Lustrum Dredging

#About this project

The Gladstone Marina is a busy working environment, with pilot boats, lines boats, large barges, ferries, large fishing charters and private pleasure craft all regularly transiting this precinct.

Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) engaged Hall in 2020 to undertake maintenance dredging within the marina, providing safe passage and navigable channels for commercial and recreational vessels.

The Marina Maintenance Lustrum Dredging project involved the removal of approximately 150,000m³ of material to -4.5m to -5.0m LAT from the marina, and delivery of that material to a dedicated location on shore.

This is the third time Hall has undertaken maintenance dredging on behalf of GPC, with cutter suction dredge Saibai tasked with carrying out the project.
