Port Denarau Approach Channel Deepening

#About this project

Port Denerau is the no. 1 tourist port in Fiji and is the jumping off point for the outer islands. It is also the marine gateway for the popular Denerau Resorts which include the Hilton, Westin, Sheraton and Raddisson. Recognising its importance to the economy of Fiji, the Government committed to the deepening and widening of the approach channel to -5m. This will allow large super yachts direct access to Denarau and the facilities it provides.

Hall Contracting was engaged to dredge 500,000m3 from the approach channel using its cutter suction dredge 'Kikilu'. The project has been successfully delivered on time and budget.
